What is Reiki?
Reiki is simple to use natural healing system. The word "Rei" means Universal and "Ki" Means light, translated to " universal light". Reiki involves using divine light energy which is called upon to heal, channelled through the healer's hands and directed at the patient. The pateint recieves the energy either through light pressure touch or with hands in close proximity. Reiki can also be described as spiritual energy healing.
Reiki works initially to clear blockages and remove old/excess energy, then reiki flows through the patient to infuses vital life-force energy into the recipient restoring and balancing energy with. Finally Reiki strengthens and protects the patient.
It is simple to use and this simplicity makes it availble to everyone, in all places and for a varierty of reasons.The healing system developed by Dr. Mikao Usui originated from Eastern Traditions.

Usui Rhoyo Reiki comes in three degree levels. About Dr. Usui and Reiki History
Dr. Mikao Usui developed the system we now refer to as Reiki. On Dr. Usui’s memorial stone is carved the following statement: “One day he went to Mount Kurama on a 21 day retreat to fast and meditate. At the end of this period he suddenly felt the great Reiki energy at the top of his head, which led to the Reiki healing system.” Since this revelation of Reiki to Dr. Usui, the Reiki system has evolved into the well-known system that is so popular today in the west. Dr Haysahi is resposible for settipng up over 40 clinics in Japan for Reiki. He was alo the one who taught Mrs Hawayo Tataka. Mrs Takata is credited to bringing Reiki to the west.
